Role Definition
As part of the infrastructure team, the AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing and managing our cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and scalability of our applications, and providing general system administration support for our range of Linux and Windows virtual machines
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, deploy and maintain cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, including ECS, RDS, EC2 and other services
• Monitor and optimize the performance and scalability of our cloud-based applications and services.
• Implement and manage security policies and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment processes using tools like Terraform.
• Troubleshoot issues with cloud-based infrastructure and applications, and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with developers to design and implement scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance applications on AWS.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to critical incidents as needed.
• Work with diverse technical and non-technical teams, including Development, QA, Customer Operations and Product Management teams
• Write and maintain systems / application documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
About you:
• 3+ years’ experience working as a hands-on AWS Cloud Engineer or similar role
• Great communicator and self-starter
• In depth knowledge of Devops principles
• Demonstrable experience setting up and maintaining Linux Environments
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Docker and Terraform are desirable
• Understanding of Python would be an advantage
