Virgil just earned a place alongside some of the biggest names in enterprise AI.
Virgil, the AI agent built into Simfoni’s Source-to-Contract (S2C) platform, has won a Stevie® Award for Best AI-Powered Product or Service in the 2026 International Business Awards®, one of the world’s most competitive business awards programs.
A small team competing in a big category
The Best AI-Powered Product or Service category included offerings from some of the world’s largest technology and industrial companies. Simfoni operates with a fraction of the headcount and R&D resources of many of its fellow honorees.
Virgil was judged on the strength of the product, its innovation, and real-world application. And it won.
“Winning a Stevie Award in this category means being judged alongside some of the biggest names in enterprise technology,” said Chirag Shah, Executive Chairman of Simfoni. “We believed AI could do more than sit on top of procurement software. It could operate inside it, as part of the actual workflow. Virgil is proof of that, and this recognition is a credit to everyone at Simfoni who helped build it into what it is today.”
The real procurement problem: time, not data
Source-to-Contract technology is designed to help procurement teams bring more spend under management. In practice, messy data, manual workflows, and limited resources restrict how much spend teams can realistically address, leaving opportunities hidden and savings uncaptured.
“Procurement teams don’t have a data problem. They have a time problem,” Shah said. “By the time they’ve pulled all the relevant information together, there’s often too little time left to act on what they found. That means valuable opportunities get missed.”
Virgil was built to close that gap.
AI that moves from insight to action
Virgil isn’t a chat window bolted onto a dashboard. It’s built natively into Simfoni’s Source-to-Contract platform, working across spend analytics, sourcing pipeline, eRFx, and contract management.
Virgil proactively identifies savings opportunities within customer data and can move those opportunities directly into sourcing activity, connecting insight to action without manual handoffs or forcing users to jump between tools.
That’s the difference between AI layered onto procurement technology and AI embedded within the procurement workflow: the same intelligence that identifies an opportunity can help teams act on it.
Enterprise customers worldwide rely on Simfoni’s Source-to-Contract platform and Virgil to support day-to-day procurement operations.
Virgil continues to expand
Virgil Contract Renewal Watch, released this year, extends that same philosophy to contract renewals.
Instead of relying on teams to manually track renewal dates and notice periods, Virgil monitors the contract repository, identifies upcoming deadlines and what’s at stake, and helps teams act before critical windows close.
It’s another example of the principle behind Virgil: AI shouldn’t simply tell procurement teams what’s happening. It should help them do something about it.
Why this recognition matters
“This award is proof that Simfoni is leading the charge in defining the AI-enabled solution for procurement,” Shah said.
The International Business Awards are conducted by the Stevie Awards and are among the world’s leading business awards programs. This year’s competition drew thousands of nominations from organizations across more than 60 nations, evaluated by a global panel of business professionals.
It is also Simfoni’s second Stevie win in 2026, following a Bronze Stevie for Employer of the Year.
For a company of Simfoni’s size to earn recognition alongside some of the world’s largest technology organizations is more than a trophy. It validates a fundamental idea behind Virgil: the future of procurement AI isn’t another layer of software asking users what they want to know.
It’s AI embedded in the workflow, finding opportunities, connecting the dots, and turning smarter decisions into measurable business outcomes.
