Role Overview

We are seeking a Solution Consultant to act as a key partner to prospects and customers, guiding them through the discovery and solution scoping process for Simfoni’ s procurement technology solutions. This individual contributor role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, engaging with clients, and translating complex procurement challenges into tailored, actionable solutions. You will play a vital role in driving sales engagements, supporting customer success, and fostering strong partnerships through impactful solution design and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Discovery & Solution Scoping
• Engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their procurement challenges, workflows, and system landscape.
• Conduct discovery sessions to assess business needs and align them with Simfoni’ s solution capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to craft tailored solution recommendations.
2. Solution Design, Demonstration & Pre-Sales Support
• Deliver compelling demonstrations tailored to the individual prospect, showcasing how Simfoni’ s technology solves procurement pain points and drives business impact.
• Assist in the pre-sales process, including supporting RFP responses, proof-of-concept (POC) exercises, and creation of compelling sales and marketing collateral.
• Ensure solution demonstrations effectively align with customer objectives.
3. Customer Success & Training
• Assist in partner enablement, providing training and joint demos to strategic partners to enhance their ability to sell and support Simfoni’ s solutions.
• Act as an internal advocate for customer needs, providing feedback to product and development teams for continuous improvement.
4. Industry Expertise & Continuous Improvement
• Stay up to date on procurement trends, competitive solutions, and industry best practices to continuously refine solution positioning.
• Provide insights to the product team regarding customer requirements, market demands, and potential product enhancements.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in solution consulting, sales engineering, implementation, or pre-sales support within procurement technology or related SaaS solutions.
• Deep understanding of value-based selling methodologies and the ability to align solutions with customer-specific business outcomes.
• Understanding of procurement technology, including spend analytics, eSourcing, tail spend management, and ERP integrations preferred but not required.
• Ability to deliver engaging product demonstrations, translating features and capabilities into real-world customer value.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.
• Experience supporting RFPs, proof-of-concept exercises, and creating technical sales materials.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client engagements, partner training, or industry events.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in procurement, sourcing, or supplier management roles, or with procurement technology.
• Familiarity with Source-to-Pay (S2P) platforms like Coupa, Ariba, Jaggaer, or similar a plus.
• Background in teaching, training, or enabling customers and partners on software solutions.
• Experience working with or selling into manufacturing organizations and understanding their unique procurement challenges.
