Role Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Purchasing Operation. Your work scope will revolve around fulfilling various roles of the purchasing department as the need for the activity arises. You will be responsible for supporting the following job activities: Open Order Management, Vendor Management and Communications, Emergency Expediting, Customer Communications, Spot Buy Requisition – Order Processing, Replenishment Order Processing, Utilize product knowledge for sourcing activities, run reports and fill out daily dashboards.
Key Responsibilities
• Daily processing of requests for new Catalog Items Set Up per defined Catalog Structure requirements
• Perform quoting and sourcing activities (3 Quote Process)
• Set up new Pricing Agreements
• Work from Spare Parts BOM’s to set up critical spares
• Review Blue Prints to properly identify key features of products for sourcing.
• Assist with daily Open Order follow up activities (Confirmations, Past Dues, Expedites, etc)
• Attend daily meetings – Manage and report out on daily Stock Out Forecast Report
• Successfully work with suppliers to expedite delivery of emergency product and avoid shut downs
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of prior experience and willingness to work in US Shift (4:30PM IST – 1:30 AM IST)
• Familiar with Industrial Products and Suppliers (MRO Commodities)
• Efficient Web Search capabilities
• Strong working knowledge of MS suite
• Understanding the requirements and standards for setting up new product Catalog Items
• Some prior Quoting and Sourcing experience
• Able to handle critical situations (Emergency Expedites) and stay on task until completion
• Effective time and workplace management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
• Must possess and demonstrate strong analytical skills and business judgment
• Work well under pressure situations
