Overview

We are looking for a MRO Buyer to join one of our client sites. 

Primary responsibility involves:

-Processing daily Purchase Requisitions and Catalog Development in support of Materials Crib product availability

-Included in this responsibility are such activities as: maintaining price agreements in the system, quoting and sourcing activity for the required products

-Interacting with the end users on specific item requirements. Interacting with MRO operations personnel on replenishment issues. Interacting with Engineering on Print Tools/Items.

Requirements

Candidate must be able to:

• Process all assigned daily orders (Spot Buy and Crib Replenishment Catalog Buys)
• Resolve any PO rejections
• Resolve any pricing concerns
• Assist with maintaining updated vendor price agreements
• Manage daily RFQ’s
• New Items Set Up- Catalog Development
• Expedite emergency orders
• Maintain/build relationships with suppliers (Supplier Performance)
• Successfully manage and complete any special assignments
• Maintain customer satisfaction at an above average level
• Meet cost savings goals thru quoting and sourcing process

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Must possess and demonstrate strong analytical skills and business judgment
• Strong working knowledge of MS office and general IT and computer skills
• Ability to identify, document and present cost savings opportunities
• Prior purchasing experience (MRO commodities preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
• Prior experience working with Maximo software would be ideal
• College Degree not required but preferred
